Brooks Nelson leads the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Community Resilience and Disaster Response program. As the Senior Director for Global Resilience, Brooks leads programming on the private sector’s role in all cycles of disaster, including the Foundation’s response to natural and manmade disasters. Through programs like “Resilience in a Box” and the “Disaster Help Desk for Business,” Brooks also leads the Foundation’s programming for small business resiliency. Brooks began working with Corporate Citizenship Center in 2009, as a researcher for the Together for Recovery campaign. Prior to joining the Center, Brooks was with USA Freedom Corps, the civic engagement office of the White House, under the Bush Administration.
