As a Senior Program Manager, Jake leads the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders’ (NALCAB) Equitable Neighborhood Development team and its programmatic work with member and associate organizations.
Jake brings many years of experience from the municipal, political, and non-profit sectors. Before arriving at NALCAB, his roles included service as a city planner in Conroe, Texas; a grassroots organizer and director of public outreach campaigns and initiatives for Organized Karma LLC in Las Vegas, Nevada; service in nonprofit educational equity as a data analyst monitoring student progress for City Year San Antonio; and, most recently, civil service as a Project Analyst with the Bexar County Elections Department.
Jake is a graduate of Texas State University, with a B.S. in Geography with a concentration in Urban and Regional Planning. From Texas A&M University, he received a master’s degree in Urban Planning, with an emphasis on Housing and Community Development.
